The iconic frill-necked lizard on a genuine Australian two cent coin is encapsulated in a metal charm with parrot clasp attachment to crystal set enhancer on a gold plated chain.
The coin was designed by Stuart Devlin in 1966 and used in circulation until 1992.
The frill-necked lizard is so called due to the large ruff of skin which usually lays folded back against its head and neck. When the lizard is frightened, it gapes its mouth and the frill flares out.
The charm is 25mm in diameter and the necklace length is 45cm.
